Our Choir has been going for nearly 2 years now, taking children from Bapchild Village School. Practices are held on Thursday lunch times in term time, and are usually attended by about 14 children aged between 8 and 11.
The choir is invited to sing at one service a month in St. Laurence church. This always starts at 10.30 and lasts for just under an hour.
The choir is led by Janet Beal, lay-reader at the church, and part-time teacher. She would like to involve any children outside the school who would like to join and be prepared to sing at one service a month.
She is willing to put on an extra practice in church on a Thursday or Friday evening if enough children are interested. All that is required is a love of singing.
Practices would last about an hour. The age limit is 8-13, but exceptions can be made.
