A small but merry band of workers spent a couple of hours on Saturday 15th November clearing the churchyard.  Gullys were cleared which helps relieve the problem of damp in the walls and the edges of the main tarmac path were cut back.

This work is undertaken twice a year by The Friends of St Laurence Church as one of their aims is to help maintain the fabric of the Church.  The Friends raise money mainly by organising a 100 Club with an annual subscription of £12 and monthly cash prizes.

If you would like to join the 100 Club please contact either Alan Ball (424677) or Norman Thomas (424893) and of course if you would like to help at the next churchyard clean-up watch out for the next date.
