Firstly if you haven’t been to one of the functions at the Fox and Goose recently then you have been missing out as the pub has undergone a major transformation over the last few months in just about every respect.Yesterday they held another hugely successful music festival and BBQ with one band playing inside and another outside. I’ve been to a couple of functions and been impressed on each occasion, but I’ve never seen it quite so busy before.
It was very busy inside so I watched local group The Weekenders play outside to a crowded car park and garden. They did a good range of covers ranging from groups such as The Killers, Jessie J, Eliza Doolittle, The Strokes and even a bit of Fleetwood Mac which they handled competently.
It was nice to see a band doing something for those of us who don’t wish to constantly reminisce the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. I endured plenty of that back in the 80’s and 30 years on so many bands are still covering the same old tired ground.

I only popped along for a short while, but it was very enjoyable and I’m already looking forward to the next one.
