Tonge Conservation Area Public Consultation
The Tonge Conservation Area has just been reviewed by Swale Borough Council. There is an illustrated document setting out what makes this area special, how it might be best managed to protect its special character, and recommendations for changes to the Conservation Area boundaries. The draft public consultation document is likely to be of interest to all who live and work in and around this Conservation Area, but particularly to those affected by proposed boundary changes, who have been individually notified in writing of the proposed changes.
Swale Borough Council is inviting comments from affected and/or interested parties to ensure that the document will be accurate and fit for purpose before seeking to adopt it for development management purposes.

The public consultation period runs from Monday 5th October for 6 weeks up to and including Sunday the 15th November 2020. Any comments received will be carefully considered and may result in changes being made to the documents, but please note it may not be possible to take into account comments received after the 15th November.
There is also a large poster containing this information, which is displayed on the noticeboard outside Bapchild and Tonge Village Hall, School Lane, Bapchild.
