Sustainable Transport Survey

Dear Resident,

Swale Borough Council have recently launched a short consultation regarding three project areas proposed in their Climate and Ecological Emergency Action Plan.  These are car clubs, bike shares and EV charge points.  Providing low emission car or bike hire via 'pay as you go' services could provide a useful alternative to car ownership and increase active travel.

Additionally, the survey will help SBC to understand where there is currently the demand for EV charging infrastructure within Swale, as a data gathering exercise to aid potential funding applications. Residents are reminded that providing the location of a desired charge point will not necessarily result in installation.
The projects in SBC Plan will be part of our solution to the climate crisis, providing more sustainable forms of transport and helping us to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. These projects will also help improve air quality for all in Swale.

To take part, residents can complete SBC survey online before Friday 25 June 2021

There is also an opportunity for businesses to share their thoughts on integrating these solutions into their operations.

The survey can be found at: https://swale.gov.uk/gtt

If you have any questions about the survey, contact climate@swale.gov.uk with any queries regarding both the survey and Swale Borough Council climate action progress.
