Bapchild Parish Council received notification today of an extension to the emergency gas network repairs currently being carried out in Bapchild.  Please read below the latest information received.

Wednesday 25 October – A2 The Street, Bapchild, Sittingbourne

 
Since Tuesday 10 October, our engineers have been investigating reported gas leaks in The Street, Bapchild.
For everyone's safety around our work area, we've installed temporary two-way traffic lights which will be manually controlled at peak times. This is complex engineering work and we need to carry out further investigations and multiple repairs before it can be completed. In consultation with Kent Highways we have arranged to extend our work duration until 17 November, but will be working as quickly and safely as we can to repair our network.

We would like to thank local residents and road users for their continued patience and understanding while we carry out this essential work.
