You’ve probably seen them, rain or shine collecting paper and cardboard every second Sunday in the month, but what’s it all about?

Well we're very fortunate to have, not one, but two paper collections in Bapchild, one by Swale council and the other by our local cricket club.

However, were you aware that the cricket club is a registered charity and that without your very kind support would probably have to forgo the Colts cricket section. For those of you who are not already aware, the Colts cricket comprises the junior section of the club, which is split into three teams for the under 11, 13 and 15 respectively.

Club chairman Roy Lincoln said “We are extremely grateful for all the support we receive and we average approximately 2.5 to 3.5 tonnes per month, however without this support we would no longer be able to maintain the Colts cricket.”
